Horsehair jewelry!

Post by sharonl on Wed Feb 04, 2015 8:25 am

I've been making horsehair jewelry for about 7 years now, and I thought I'd share some of the pieces I've made through the years. I'm always trying to improve and learn new techniques. I truly love doing this, especially when I can make something for a customer who has lost a beloved horse.

Thanks Regy!  I do have an option for a very little bit of hair.  It's a little tube pendant where the hair is put inside, and the top is glued on so it stays put in there.  Mane hair works fine for this option too.    The bead on top of the tube and the charm at the bottom can be changed to whatever you like.  I have pretty much any color of bead, and tons of different charms.    I don't know if you can see, but inside the tube, there's a wire that runs up the middle.  I can put seed beads on that to match the top bead.    The beads in this one are blue/purple.

I made a Pinterest board for my horsehair jewelry! It shows a bunch of pieces I've made over the years.
