Sharonl checkin in!
Yay! Another new forum to corrupt...er...be a member of!!! :
A little about me:
My name is Sharon and I've been collecting mostly Breyers for over 25 years. My passion is vintage Breyers, and I LOVE variations! My collection can be seen here: plus.google.com/photos/101857873453342026136/albums?banner=pwa . The PAM is my favorite mold, because she reminds me of my own real Arab mare who passed away 10 years ago.
I've been married to the love of my life for 15 years and we have two young'uns, ages 9 and almost 7. My daughter has inherited my love of horses and has her own little collection of models. I'm a stay at home mom, and I homeschool my two little stinkers.
Aside from collecting, I make and sell horsehair jewelry. Some wonderful people on this board have gotten pieces from me, and I hope they all love them. All of the hair I use comes from my own herd of (mostly willing) donors, and also from lots of great people who have offered to send me chunks of their horses' tails. I never use bulk horsehair, because I don't know (or don't want to know) where it comes from. Here's a link to some of my designs: s94.photobucket.com/user/sharonl_02/library/Horsehair%20jewelry%20and%20keychains?sort=3&page=1 .
My real horses are an interesting lot. They're all different breeds, sizes, and colors, and many of them were rescues. They're a great bunch, and I can't imagine my life without them. I used to show my Arabs, but since marriage and children, I just ride for pleasure.
I can't wait to see who else wanders over here! :

Hi Sharon,
Great to see a familiar name!
I'm one of those who have purchased your horsehair jewelry, made from my mare's tail and I LOVE it.
Your work in exquisite and my bracelet is a wonderful memento / remembrance for me of my late horse!

Re: Sharonl checkin in!
Thank you all so much! I'm excited to be in a forum "from the ground floor" so to speak, and I look forward to seeing this board grow!
And thanks so much for all the compliments on my jewelry. I truly love making it, and I have some big plans for the future.
